Your information.
Handled with care.
This page explains what Velt collects through the website, the portal, and the mobile app, why, who handles it, and the choices you have.
Who we are
Velt Services LLC ("Velt") provides valet trash service to apartment communities in Central Florida. This policy covers veltliving.com, the Velt portal, and the Velt mobile app that signs in to the portal. Questions or requests: privacy@veltliving.com.
The short version.
- We don't sell your personal information or give sponsors your identity. Near Me shows paid ads by community, not by your personal profile.
- The site has no advertising or analytics cookies and no tracking pixels.
- For resident bulk pickups, Stripe handles card payments. The portal and app do not collect sponsor card numbers.
- We don't use artificial intelligence to review resident information or photos.
- Sponsors in Near Me see counts only, never your name.
What we collect
Website forms. The property quote form asks for your name, business email, property name, city and state, and approximate unit count, and optionally a phone number, information about multiple communities, a service concern, and a message. The careers form asks for your name, email, city, and the kind of work that interests you, and optionally a phone number and a message; it is used only to talk with you about working at Velt. The service report form asks for your name, contact email, property name, city and state, your role, the type of issue, and a description. Please leave out resident names, access codes, and other private information.
Resident accounts. Your name, email, building and unit, preferred language, and a password that we store only in scrambled (hashed) form. We also keep a sign-in session while you are signed in.
Service activity. Missed-pickup reports and concerns you send (including any text you write), ratings and feedback, service pauses, additional and bulk pickup requests and the date you choose, and the alerts we send you.
Payments. For a bulk pickup, Stripe emails an invoice to the email address on your account and collects the payment. We keep the invoice reference, the amount, and whether it was paid. We never receive your card number.
Alerts. If you turn on alerts, your browser or phone gives us a push address so alerts can reach your device. We don't collect your location for alerts. You can turn them off at any time in the portal or in your device settings.
Near Me. When you open Near Me, we record that a resident saw a listing, or opened its menu, order or booking link, or tapped to text, call, or email the business, once per day. Booking happens on the business’s own website, or in your own messages, phone, or email app. Velt does not see or keep your message and does not send your details to the business; when you send a text or email yourself, the business sees your number or email address. Sponsors see only the totals, never who you are.
Velt team and property team accounts. Name, work email, role, and assigned property. For Velt team members, also hours and route activity. When a team member takes a service photo, the portal may check the phone's location, accuracy, and distance from the building at that moment to verify work on site; it does not use that check to continuously track an off-duty phone.
Service photos. Depending on the service setup, team members may photograph a doorway before and after a pickup, bags or containers, shared spaces such as breezeways, set-out concerns, spills, and return pickups. A photo may be linked to a building or unit and a service time. Photos are meant to document the work, not people, apartment interiors, access codes, or license plates. If you see something in a photo that should not be there, tell us and we will review it.
Sponsors. Business name, contact person and email, listing text, phone, address, links, photos, and offers. For paid placements, Velt may also keep the agreed fee, billing contact, invoices, and payment status outside the sponsor portal.
Technical information. To limit repeated automated requests and password guessing, we keep a keyed hash of your network address and the time of a request. The hash can't be turned back into your address without a secret key that we store separately, and we don't store the original address. On website forms the hash is erased after 90 days, and failed sign-in counters are erased after a day; a signed proposal keeps its hash as part of the signed record. We keep a log of important actions in the portal (who did what and when) for security and accountability. Sign-in and sign-out entries are deleted after 90 days and other entries after two years.
How we use it
- To provide the service: sign you in, send pickup alerts, take and resolve your reports, and set up bulk pickups.
- To verify and document service, including proof-of-clean photos, service nights, and the monthly reports we give properties.
- To bill bulk pickups through Stripe.
- To keep the site safe: prevent abuse, find problems, and keep the activity log.
- To count Near Me views and clicks for sponsors, as totals. Near Me shows listings by community; it doesn't use your personal profile to target you.
- To talk with people who ask about service or a job.
- To meet legal and accounting obligations.
How long we keep it
We keep information as long as needed to run the service, keep the property's service record, meet legal and accounting requirements, and resolve disputes. Sign-in sessions expire on their own. Some technical data is deleted automatically: failed sign-in counters after a day, expired invitations and shared report links after 30 days, sign-in log entries after 90 days, other activity-log entries after two years, and the network hash on website forms after 90 days. We don't yet delete service records, photos, or invoices on a fixed schedule; if you want something deleted sooner, see "Your choices" below.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, give you a copy, or delete it, by emailing privacy@veltliving.com from the email on your account (or tell us how to verify it's you). We'll reply within 30 days. Some records, such as invoices and a property's service history, may need to be kept, but we'll remove or anonymize your personal details where we can.
You can also turn alerts off in the portal, change your language in the portal, and ask us to close your account. If you forget your password, ask Velt to reset it. Depending on where you live, the law may give you additional rights; tell us and we'll honor the ones that apply.
How we protect it
The site uses HTTPS. Passwords are stored only in scrambled form. People see only what their role needs. Velt administrators sign in with two steps. Repeated failed sign-ins are slowed down. Two-step codes and the key used to sign alerts are stored encrypted. You can sign out of all your devices from your account page. Photos in the portal aren't public: they are shown only to people allowed to see them. No system is perfectly secure. If a security problem affects your information, we'll tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
Children
The portal is for adults 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, email privacy@veltliving.com and we'll delete it.
Artificial intelligence
Velt doesn't use artificial intelligence to review resident information or proof-of-clean photos. If that changes, we'll update this page first.
Email and messages
The Velt website doesn't send email of its own, and we don't send marketing email or text messages. Residents may receive a Stripe invoice for a bulk pickup. Sponsors may receive billing messages under their separate sponsorship order. You may also receive a reply to a message you start with us.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, we'll post the new version here with a new date. Questions, requests, or concerns: privacy@veltliving.com or info@veltliving.com. You can also read our Terms of Use.
